The challenge

A food bank at this scale isn't one website, it's a whole ecosystem: donors to move, staff to coordinate, a story to tell, and money to raise, all at once and all reliably. They needed a partner who could build across the board and keep it running for the long term.

What we did

Over eight years we built and maintained the main website, a custom staff intranet we called ChowMain, a WordPress blog (Blog@Hunger), a mobile site, eNewsletters, and Facebook tabs. The centerpiece was a custom Virtual Food Drive fundraising platform, letting supporters run their own online drives, wired into the Convio API so donations and constituents flowed to the right place.

The outcome

The Food Bank got a connected set of tools that carried its mission online: a public face, an internal engine, and a fundraising machine that let anyone become a food drive host. Eight years of continuous work is the outcome that matters most: a flagship relationship that earned the name.
