Training the state's first responders.

The Medical Control Board and Office of the Medical Director set the medical directives for EMS across metro Oklahoma. More than 420 paramedics and emergency responders answer nearly 50,000 life-threatening calls a year, and every one of them has to stay current on protocols and certified to practice. The board needed one place to publish protocols, deliver continuing education, and test and re-credential its people.

We built the board an accessible WordPress website, mission, treatment protocols, calendar, and resources, and a custom online CME-and-testing platform beside it. Paramedics register, work through continuing-education modules, and sit clinical-privileges tests online. Scoring rules adapt to each responder's title and agency, a failed test notifies their training officer automatically, and administrators build filtered reports and export the results. We featured the board's 50/50 cardiac-arrest research program, and kept extending the system over several years.

A single hub for Oklahoma's EMS medical oversight, protocols, education, testing, and credentialing in one place, that helped keep the region's responders trained and certified to the board's standard.
