The challenge
3M's Personal Safety division wanted to show the true cost of protective equipment, not just the sticker price. That takes a tool that can run real calculations, present them clearly enough for a decision-maker, and pull live data from 3M's own systems. Fortune 500 work also means Fortune 500 standards, brought to us through the agency Schermer.
What we did
We built a custom web application that estimates Total Cost of Ownership for PPE, with data-driven calculations behind interactive charts and reporting so the numbers actually mean something at a glance. We integrated it with 3M's systems over a SOAP API so the tool worked from real data, not guesses.
The outcome
A data-backed estimator that stood up to enterprise standards and gave 3M's team a clear way to make the case for their equipment. Delivering custom software into a Fortune 500 pipeline is the kind of credibility that outlasts the project.
