The Arc Northland has a new case-management system live, a custom web application built to handle the sensitive records that come with advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Off-the-shelf tools were too generic or too costly, and consumer data has to stay private no matter what.
Staff sign in to a clean, accessible portal to create, view, edit, and search consumer information records, with sortable columns and saved searches for each user. A role system controls exactly who can view, create, edit, remove, and report, sensitive fields are encrypted before they ever reach the database, and anyone can export results to Excel or CSV. It runs on an on-site server behind HTTPS.
