The idea was simple: instead of building a separate mobile site, build one site with a flexible layout that reshapes itself for whatever screen it lands on. Within a few years it was just how the web was made.
It arrived right as phones were overtaking desktops as the way most people browse.
Today it isn't optional. More than half of your visitors are on a phone, and a site that fights them there loses them. Every site we build is responsive from the first sketch, so your design looks sharp and works cleanly on the small screen in someone's hand.
