ionOklahoma Magazine is live on a custom publishing platform we designed and built from the ground up. A statewide lifestyle magazine has to publish everywhere at once: on the web, across a dozen editorial departments, and out to an inbox full of subscribers. A stock blog was never going to carry that.
We hand-coded a custom WordPress theme, then built a business directory and an events calendar from scratch, each with its own database and admin. A back-office console, separate from the standard WordPress admin, handles photo galleries and data imports, and a newsletter engine built on SendGrid sends branded editions out to the magazine's subscribers.
