Google puts AI agents inside Google Ads

In November 2025, Google announced two agentic tools, Ads Advisor and Analytics Advisor, both running on its Gemini models. Ads Advisor sits inside Google Ads and answers plain questions like "how can I optimize this campaign for an upcoming seasonal event," then suggests concrete actions. Analytics Advisor does the analysis side, running a breakdown when you ask why traffic changed on a given day.

The direction is clear: Google wants more of the day-to-day campaign management handled by AI that learns from how you work.

For a small or mid-size business, this is genuinely useful and worth watching, but it's not autopilot. These agents optimize toward the goals and budgets you set, and they'll happily push spend if you let them. Treat the suggestions as a knowledgeable assistant, not a decision-maker. The businesses that win with tools like this are the ones that still understand their own numbers and know when to say no to a recommendation.
